Jem, Dill, and I all got to see Boo. We weren't planning on it, but on the night of the fire when he came out and put a blanket on me we all started talking. Nobody knows about this, but since everyone was so set on the fire and putting it out the three of us snuck off for a little to talk and hangout with Boo. We only got to hangout for a little bit because we didn't want to get caught or get Boo in trouble.
Boo is a really nice guy. We told him that we weren't trying to tourture him; we just wanted to meet him and talk. Jem also told him that we really missed the stuff he was putting in the tree for us, but we love all the things he gave us. While we were hanging out we even gave him out letter that we wrote to him. Boo was a normal guy just like all of us, and he said thank you for the letter and paying attention to him becuase nobody else does. He also told us that he hates being locked inside and any chance we get to communicate with him, he would really like us to.

ReplyDeleteIt was fun to finally meet you guys and talking to yous. I didn't thin I would ever talk to another living person besides my bother in my life. I'm so glad we got the chance. But it is sad that Miss Maudie had to lose her house for it. I'm happy you guys had an open mind about meeting me. Even I had a good laugh at some of the rumors about me were. I was thinking of ways we could communicate and I was thinking burying notes near the school at night, and you pick it up later the next day. Sounds like a crude but possible system. So remember to check near the fence by school. I'll mark it with a stone.

At first I didn't like the fact that you were trying to hang out with my brother, to be honest I thought you were trying to make fun of him. He has been very lonely these past few years, and it is truely wonderful that you and your friends want to become friends with him. Yes, you were right, he is just like a normal guy. And don't worry, I won't tell Atticus that you were spending time with my brother.

I wish I was there to meet Boo. I've heard so much about him and it was all mean stuff. I'm glad to finally know what he is all about and that he is a nice guy after all.

ReplyDeleteYeah that night was so much fun. Boo was such a nice guy, I never thought that he would be so normal. I always pictured him as being really scary looking, but he was so nice. When I come back for the summer we need to go see him again. Tell Jem I said hi.

ReplyDeleteI am glad you appreciate the fact that I put the blanket on you. I watched out my window all the commotion and when I saw you shivering, I decided to cover you with one of my blankets.
I'm glad I finally got to meet you and your brother for the first time. Of all the years watching you from my window, I finally could say hello. I think we found a new way for us to communicate and for you to inform me on the outside world. Thanks for everything!
